We're very excited to give you a sneak peek of the wonderful concept for the first Irish Animation Awards statuette, created by the talented Eimhin McNamara.The statuette incorporates elements of the Animation Ireland logo on a rotatable perspex disk, which pivots upon a stand.The statuette resembles a Phenakistoscope which was an early animation device to create an illusion of motion.We couldn't imagine a more fitting design for the Irish Animation Awards, thank you Eimhin!The statuette is currently being built in Santry by the Lee Brothers.Eimhin McNamara, the designer, is an animator, film maker, teacher and member of Paper Panther Productions.Check out more of Eimhin's work in the links belowPaperpanther.ieFacebookVimeo
